LE FESTIVAL FRANÇAIS

From Madame Elliott,
On Friday, April 30, 7th and 8th grade French students at Monument Valley Middle School participated in LE FESTIVAL FRANÇAIS. Each student prepared “un produit” (a product) to sell at “le marché” (the market). The kids came up with really fun things to sell, including cotton ball babies, pet rocks, face painting, silverware people, photos, tattoos, croissants, games, hand-made postcards, pet dog bones, and more. Students were given “euros” to shop at the markets. They liked the fact that they could spend as many “euros” as they wanted. At the and of the markets, the shopping bags were quite full. We sang both the French and Canadian national anthems with gusto, and played a few rounds of “Touchez!” (Simon Says) as well. C’était super!!
