Artist in the Classroom: Diego Gutierrez

Diego Gutierrez is a working architect. He came into the 8th grade art class yesterday and talked about what exactly architects do. He showed us some plans, samples and books that had a lot of information in them. He also talked about the type of classes you need to take to become an architect. These include Art, Drawing, Art History, Math and Engineering classes. He explained that most architects have a passion for drawing, math, science and computers. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing with us, Diego!

Hi,
I want to thank you, Kate, for inviting me, and your very interested and engaged students for being so receptive. It is always a pleasure to share my love for architecture and passing on whatever I can to young students.
